Congratulations, you’ve found my about page! Didn’t clicking on that button feel good? The best thing is that you can do that again and again and again!

Yes, I made this.
Ahoy. I’m Innocent Loverboy (or ILB if you want to conserve precious keystrokes) – that’s Loverboy, not “Lover Boy”, pronounced /aɪɛlbiː/ like “I’ll be”, not /ɪlb/ like “illb”, which isn’t a word.
I’m a blogger from London struggling through my early 40s. Since my teens, I’ve always been interested in love and sex (despite the fact that I spent a lot of time pretending I wasn’t). I’m using that as some sort of excuse for the fact that I have been writing a blog around the subject(s) for more than a decade and a half now.
I am, for the record, a cisgender, heterosexual male, but I am in a queer relationship, insofar as I am married to a queer person – horror newsletter editor Jill Sleight. Also, seemingly unlike many other sex bloggers, I have always been monogamous. I know – freak!
This blog

the first two
years or so.
2026 is my nineteenth year of sex blogging. You may know me from my old blog on Blogger, which is still in situ and where you’ll find my first twelve years’ worth of content (sit back and enjoy!).
You may (in fact, you probably do) also know me from social media, where I can be found on Mastodon and Bluesky. I also have an account on 𝕏.com (formerly Twitter), which I still use, but rarely. I do post the same things on all three, so you can follow me on any of them and you won’t miss too much.
Both blogs contain a lot of cyclical backlinks. If you click on a link and find you’ve been taken to my old blog, don’t worry, it’s meant to do that. There is a button atop my old blog which will take you back to this one.
I’ve been around since late 2007, and have won a place on lists of “Top 100 Sex Blogs” from 2009 to 2022. This list, originally run by fellow blogger Rori and then by my friend Molly, was a huge part of the community until it faded out due to the lack of interest in blogging as a medium. In 2025, I worked on an unofficial continuation of the project, reducing the number to 10 and adding a few inactive legacy blogs to the list. This brought a huge increase in readership within a week.
WARNING: This blog is increasingly large with a huge amount of content. Add my old blog to the mix and you will find a lot of words. Read all my content with caution, as you may feel saturated by the end!
Ka-ching!
Unlike a lot of other sex blogs, this blog is completely non-commercial. I won’t post paid ads, sponsored content, paid-for reviews or affiliate links, so please don’t ask! There’s a post about it here.
I am available to write articles for money (contact me if you’d like me to). Since starting my blog, I’ve been featured in publications such as Metro, Glamour, and ES Magazine; you’ll also find some of my writing on Popcorn Dating (formerly FUCK.com) and KinkCraft among other places. Things I have attended include Eroticon, Erotica UK, Sexpo and erotica readings around London.
I specialise in writing about softcore porn and sexuality from my point of view. I run a meme called Soft Porn Sunday in which I review softcore scenes. There’s also a continuing project called Ask ILB, in which I will answer blogging or sex questions. I’m very friendly – pitch in!
More About Me
I live and work in North London, and have done so all my life (apart from three years I spent studying in Nottingham). I was born and brought up in the same North London borough in which I still live. On account of the fact that I can’t drive a car, the London transport service is my saving grace.

In Spring 2021 I was diagnosed with myotonic dystrophy (DM), type 1. This affects my mobility, co-ordination and spatial awareness – plus concentration, at points. In Summer 2024 I had a heart attack due to atrial fibrillation (AF), so I’ve spent a while in hospital. I also have irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and insomnia. I don’t generally talk much about health and/or disability here, but I will occasionally mention it. To find out more about DM, MDUK has a good primer on it here.
Outside of sex (heh), my interests include literature (of all kinds), music (of all kinds), video games (mostly Nintendo), musical theatre, cinema, comedy, and softcore porn.
My favourite things are:
– Band: James
– Food: Cheese toasties
– Film: Spirited Away
– Game: Super Mario World
– Book: Lord of the Flies
– Actor: My Dad
– Comedian: Dave Gorman
– Musical: Operation Mincemeat
The Others

ES Magazine.
I have several groups of friends and acquaintances, and I have a very large family. You are likely to see many of them mentioned on the blog, but they all have pseudonyms. Most of these pseudonyms are in-jokes and bear very little relation to their actual name (for example, H); if someone has a real-looking name (eg. Nikki), then that’s not their name, but it will be someone else’s name, transplanted to them.
I will often mention other bloggers as well, but they all come with their own nom de plume.
My best friends are 47, Robinson, Mane, Einstein and H, but there are many more.
The Legal Bit
This sex blog is fully compliant with the UK Online Safety Act 2025. Explicit sexual content is presented solely as text without any audio or video adaptations.
Nude images appearing on the blog are from productions without any genuine sexual contact and are solely for the purpose of review. These are not forbidden under the Act.
Both blogs are Copyright © Innocent Loverboy, 2007 – 2025. Feel free to quote me, however.
Oh, and if you really must know:
– I have kissed 12 people
– I have had sexual contact with 10 people
– I have had sexual intercourse with 8 people
– I have had 4 long-term relationships
– I am in a relationship with 1 person
– You’ll never shine if you don’t glow
And you can use the following words to describe me:
– British or European
– Socialist
– Pacifist
– Vegetarian
– Christian
– Musician
– Comedian
– Activist
– Cutie (twice)
Probably a bit of a geek.
My heating is not on. But it does work.
